Come out to the Rail Golf Course to enjoy an 18 hole round of golf and support the Central Illinois Food  Bank and Michael Becker Foundation. The golf outing is a shotgun start, beginning at 9:00 AM, with registration beginning at 8:30 AM.

Overnight rooms and conference spaces have been renovated since the 2007 IGFOA conference in Springfield.  All rooms feature two dual-line phones, oversized work desk, ergonomic leather desk chair, Mp3 clock radio, 32" flat screen HDTV with expanded cable channels, video games, safe, digital thermostat, Cuisinart coffee maker, and high-speed Internet access.

IGFOA Conference rates are $92.00 per night for 1 King or 2 Queen rooms.  The IGFOA block expires when hotel is full or August 31, 2009 - whichever come first!

Lincoln tombConference participants are encouraged to explore Springfield.  The Hilton s located in historic downtown Springfield, with the National Historic Lincoln's Home site, Old State Capitol, Frank Lloyd Wright's Dana-Thomas House, Governor's Mansion, Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum and the Illinois State Museum within walking distance. Oakridge Cemetery, Lincoln's final resting place, and also home to the Illinois World War II and Vietnam Veterans memorials, is a short drive from the hotel.  Learn more about Springfield and area attractions at the Springfield Convention and Visitors Bureau.

VENDOR SHOWCASE - Applications accepted until August 1, 2009

The IGFOA Annual Conference includes a Vendor Showcase featuring firms exhibiting products and services for government finance operations. The 2009 Vendor Showcase will be the site of the Sunday Fifties Party, Monday breakfast, lunch and breaks. This year's theme is Fabulous Fifties and vendors are encouraged to add some bee-bop to their booths to transport the exhibit hall to the 1950s. Booths that best embody the theme will be recognized.  IGFOA will provide the food and beverages.  No outside food or beverages permitted.  A Booth # will be given at the registration desk on Sunday, September 20.  Please include your firm name instead of booth # on all correspondence to the IGFOA and Best Expo.

Exhibit Booths are on a first in/first paid basis. Payment in full by check or credit card must be received within one week of submitting an application to reserve an Exhibit Booth. Apply for a booth

Exhibit Booth Fee:

Each booth will include the following:
• 10' X 8' draped booth
• Single 6-foot draped table and two chairs
• Single one-lined identification sign
• Listing in the conference program
• Opportunity to interact with IGFOA members

Electricity, telephone, Internet, audiovisual equipment can be made available for an additional charge. Exhibitors are responsible for any additional charges for equipment or service needs. NOTE: In addition to the booth fee, each individual that will be working at your booth -- regardless of how many hours the individual will be working -- must register and pay the individual registration fee for the conference. Name badges and conference admission will only be made to paid registrants. Please note that the registration fee cannot be prorated. Like all conference registrants, exhibitors are responsible for their own travel and lodging arrangements.

Each year IGFOA Conference participants demonstrate community support and awareness by raising monies for designated charities.  Charity donor opportunities are available as specified below.  Donors will be recognized at the Sunday evening Fabulous Fifties Party. Donate today

The 2009 Conference Charities include:

Central Illinois Food Bank: Central Illinois Food Bank is a warehouse located in Springfield, IL. The food distribution program serves 160 agencies throughout 21 central Illinois counties. In addition to partnerships with agencies, the Food Bank hosts the Kids Cafe program. Kids Cafe is a nation-wide program through Feeding America, formerly America’s Second Harvest: The Nation's Food bank Network that feeds children a hot, nutritious meal in a safe environment.

Michael Becker Foundation: The mission of the Michael Becker Foundation is to provide funding opportunities for the education, knowledge advancement, and treatment of the combination of drug addiction and mental illness.  The mission will be achieved through awarding grant money to drug addiction education and research into the area of dual diagnosis in loving memory of Michael R. H. Becker.
