 Share the power of a wish® with IGFOA

The Illinois Government Finance Officers Association is pleased to host the 2008 Annual Conference Outing and Kick-Off Party benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Illinois.  This year’s event will take place on Sunday, September 7, 2008 and includes an 18-hole golf scramble at the Ironhorse Golf Course in Tuscola and Kick-Off party at the Hilton Garden Inn Champaign/Urbana, Illinois.  For details please see http://www.igfoa.org/2008confoverview.html.

We realize you have a choice where you contribute your charity dollars and hope you will participate and support this great cause.  The people who benefit from the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois need our help.  Last year IGFOA committed to raising at least $5,000 and surpassed that goal by raising over $6,325.  Help us to shatter that achievement and enable one child with a life threatening illness to have their wish granted.

Please share the power of a wish by supporting the IGFOA wish at Donors.  All IGFOA public sector and associate members are encouraged to contribute.  Please consider pooling your resources as a department, committee, chapter, team or firm to donate any one of the following:

• Golf hole donors $100 per hole

• First down donors $250

• Second down donors $500
• Third down donors $750
• Touchdown donors $1,000

The on-line Donors form allows individuals within a group to donate smaller amounts in order to amass a complete group donation.  When registering on-line, you can choose to pay by credit card or check.  All donors will be prominently recognized at the Conference outing, IGFOA web site, and in the Conference program.    Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois will provide donor receipts as appropriate.

Make-A-Wish is the benefiting organization for this event.  Written information about Make-A-Wish is available by calling the Illinois Chapter at 312-6029427 or by visiting its Web site at www.wishes.org. Conference registration and golf outing registration fees will be used to defray the cost of those events and 100% of additional monies donated as a Conference Outing Donor will be remitted to Make-A-Wish.
