Program Description: A full day seminar geared at addressing more advanced issues in debt management.  The seminar will cover SEC/IRS best practices, the cost of issuing debt in Illinois, swaps, variable rate debt, and development financing techniques.  The day will conclude with a case study that applies the learned information.

Prerequisites and Preparation:

• Explore hot topics related to SEC/IRS enforcement actions
• Recognize the true costs of issuing debt
• Understand the different types of swaps (e.g. BMA, LIBOR, CMS, etc.)
• Learn best practices in issuing variable rate debt
• Identify financing techniques for development
• Apply principles to real-world examples
