The Village of Deerfield, Illinois (Pop. 18,500) seeks applicants for the full-time position of Finance Department Generalist to administer a variety of customer service and record processing functions.

The Generalist is responsible for performing a variety of functions related to general finance and accounting.  This includes, but is not limited to, coordinating the Village accounts payable, general billing, food & beverage tax, vehicle license and Metra parking programs.  The Generalist will also support and serve as back up to front desk operations, the utility billing process, and payroll.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field. 2-3 years of related experience in finance and/or accounting involving customer service is required.  Familiarity with governmental accounting is preferred. The hiring range for this position is $65,513 – 82,792 depending on qualifications and experience.  An excellent benefit package including Health, Dental, Vision and IMRF is also offered.
