DESCRIPTION:This hands on seminar will provide participants with a working 
 knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles in the governmental 
 accounting environment and how to apply those standards to all types of un
 its of government\, with an emphasis on applying the standards to governme
 nts in Illinois.  Emphasis will be placed on understanding both the theory
  behind the principles via live lectures as well as the practical applicat
 ion and implementation of those principles using learning reinforcement to
 ols. Participants are asked to bring a hard copy of their latest audit rep
