The City of DeKalb, Illinois is seeking a Finance Manager to join our team. The Finance Manager is responsible for administering the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department as well as assisting the Assistant City Manager/Finance Director in managing the key functions of the Finance Department including, but not limited to, the annual budget process, the annual audit, accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and cash management.
The position of Finance Manager is assigned to the Finance Department. The Finance Manager position is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Assistant City Manager/Finance Director. This position is required to work outside of regular business hours. This position will experience contact with internal staff members and the general public. The Finance Manager will supervise staff responsible for payroll, general accounting, customer service, utility billing, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
The starting salary for the position is $82,921 +/- commensurate with knowledge, skills and experience.
