Risk Management Coordinator | DuPage County

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are pleased to offer the job opportunity of Risk Management Coordinator in the DuPage County Finance Department.  This position plans and coordinates he identification, analysis, evaluation, and treatment of the County’s exposure to accidental, unintended, or unforeseen losses through risk control and risk financing methods.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• In conjunction with the Information Technology Department, maintains the DuPage County Online Safety Program
• Assist the County's Risk Management Manager in planning, safety, and liability insurance activities
• Ensures compliance with state and federal laws related to safety
• Provides technical guidance to and works in cooperation with departments and Elected Officials of the County to help assure that their safety and risk needs are being met
• Develops and implements policies and procedures for the identification, collection, and analysis of risk related information
• Disseminates and advises on pertinent information regarding risk management, safety, and loss control programs
• Evaluates safety and risk at DuPage County Facilities
• Prepares metrics related to insurable claims
• Prepares statistical reports and makes recommendations regarding the provisions of general insurance
• Provides safety training in both classroom and virtual forums 
• Reviews insurance policies for accuracy
• Ensures insurance coverage is provided as required from others per County policy
• Participates in negotiations and writing of various insurance policies
• Assist Risk Management Manager in developing specifications for insurance brokers in submitting requests for quotes and/or proposals
• Maintains regular attendance and punctuality
