Event Description
Several factors can affect either the timing or the amount of your property tax distributions from the county treasurer. Settlement sheets can be confusing. We will review the property tax cycle and discuss certain factors and events such as exemptions, PTAB refunds, sales in error and trustee redemptions that impact revenue for taxing districts.
We will review and explain sample settlement sheets. This should be an informative presentation for any unit of government, large or small, with or without home rule.
Presenter: Curt Newport, Boone County Treasurer
Presented by the Downstate chapter
