Description: Grab a lunch at the Library cafe and join IGFOA Downstate Chapter for an update on wide ranging discussion on investment tools and practices with guest speaker Joe Pelligrino, Fifth Third Securities.

Learning Objectives - Participants that complete this session should be able to: 

  • Explain key factors to consider when investing such as diversifying; outside the box investments; short, medium and long term considerations
  • Provide a brief overview of current economic conditions
  • Identify investments to consider other than the typical ones; discuss purchasing municipal bonds, etc.
  • Examine different strategies such as laddering and bar bell portfolios
