The City has a diverse grant portfolio and allocates funding to advance and support a wide range of projects, programs, and initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for the residents of our community. This is a full-time position available through June 30, 2025.
Responsibilities of Position
The Grant Manager is the City’s subject matter expert on all facets of grant administration for the City’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and other grants. They prepare and submit performance and fiscal reports and maintain proper documentation and records. They also train, mentor, and monitor outside agencies and subrecipients regarding grant compliance and provide general guidance by drafting grant management policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Public Administration or a related field
- Two years of professional finance, budget analysis or accounting experience related to properly tracking and reporting expenditures
- Or an equivalent combination of work experience and training that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Experience working with financial software, such as Tyler Munis and Questica, spreadsheet and word processing applications
- Excellent oral, written and communication skills
- Ability to interpret policy, disseminate guidelines, and develop procedures.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities as necessary
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships with other City staff, local business leaders, local organizations, the general public and public officials
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior grant management experience
- Prior experience preparing and submitting performance and fiscal reports for grants
- Prior experience working with outside agencies on grant programs and compliance, such as mentoring, monitoring and/or reporting
- Public sector accounting or financial administration experience
Drug screening and criminal background check will be required. The annual starting salary range is $70,705 - $80,491, DOQ, plus an excellent fringe benefits package. For first consideration, apply online by Sunday, September 24, 2023. The position will remain open until filled.
