The Village of Barrington is accepting applications for a part-time Utility Billing Coordinator to join the Finance team. The Village is seeking an experienced individual with critical thinking skills who is looking for rewarding work with a wide range of job responsibilities in a well-established community.

Education & Experience: Associates degree in accounting or a related field with two years of related accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the knowledge, abilities, and skills required for the position. Experience with Springbrook financial software and Sensus meter software a plus.

Key Responsibilities: This position provides assistance to the Financial Services Department by doing a variety of routine and complex accounting tasks with a primary focus on utility billing.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for day-to-day communication with residents, business owners, and Village staff from all departments. This position will work closely with the Public Works department to coordinate billing activities.

The ideal candidate should be an independent worker and excited about the opportunity to participate in an “all hands on deck” work environment.

Compensation and Benefits: Starting hourly pay range is $20.60 – $30.00 depending on qualifications. 27.5 hours per week.
