JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Finance Supervisor, the full time Finance Assistant is multi-faceted position, which provides varied accounting support and customer service for the Finance Department.  The ideal candidate will be able to work well under pressure while meeting deadlines, have the ability to prioritize and multi-task with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.  Must be dependable, highly organized, and have good written and verbal communication skills.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and process all accounts payable payments to Village vendors, prepare accounts payable reports for Board of Trustee meetings.
  • Support Utility Billing to ensure accurate preparation and issuance of water bills.
  • Handle electronic and automated payment options, including online payments.
  • Compile cash receipts and daily online payments.
  • Address resident/customer needs at the window and on the phone
  • Process resident/customer payments at the window
  • Compile, process and distribute various Finance reports
  • Manage resident grant programs.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with the Public Works Department.
  • Other ad hoc projects as assigned.
