PAYROLL SPECIALIST (FT)
Under the direction of the Director of Payroll, the Payroll Specialist performs a variety of standardized procedures relating to the payroll function, following established procedures. The Payroll Specialist is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Related field. Bachelor’s Degree required. A minimum two to four years of payroll/accounting related experience, preferably in public schools, colleges, local government or not-for-profit organizations required. Microsoft Office, Word and Excel (advanced skills) required. Ellucian/Colleague experience a plus.
· Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write correspondence.
· Good oral communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.
· Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
· Basic computational skills.
· Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
· Ability to use a computer terminal.
· Good organizational skills.
