Village Accountant | Village of Westchester

The Accountant is responsible for account reconciliations, preparing journal entries, updating various tracking spreadsheets, as well as updating, documenting and evaluating current procedures. Areas of focus include general accounting such as bank reconciliations, review and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and assistance with the annual audit. This possition will demonstrate an initiative in understanding prosess flows and internal controls.

The successful candidate will have a strong accounting background with a governmental fund accounting background and an aptitude for financial software, technology and the ability to provide great internal customer service to a diverse work team.
