The Village of Bloomingdale is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Finance Director.  This is a professional position delegated responsibility for the daily operations of the Finance department including the supervision of seven staff members that are active in the functional areas of accounting, utility billing, payroll, accounts payable, and cashiering.  The position reports directly to the Finance Director.

Additional responsibility areas include accounts receivable, auditing, budgeting, cash and investment management, financial planning, technical accounting, and special projects as assigned.  Excellent oral and written communication skills and analytical skills are essential.  A Bachelor Degree in accounting or finance is required, as well as municipal accounting and supervisory experience.  CPA designation is preferred.  The salary range begins at $82,742.40, + DOQ.  An excellent benefits package is available.
