PART-TIME PAYROLL/ACCOUNTING CLERK – Village of Addison, Finance Department.

Hourly wage-rate range: $45.06 - $62.38. The Village anticipates hiring at or close to the starting pay of the position’s pay-range.

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

Under general direction, the Part-time Payroll/Accounting Clerk performs routine payroll and accounting functions for the Village. The position is responsible for numerous administrative and financial processes which primarily support the Village’s daily accounting needs. The Part-time Payroll/Accounting Clerk will also assist the Finance Director with accounting tasks to promote the principle of separation of duties including, but not limited to, General Ledger maintenance, preparation for the Village’s annual audit, processing of month-end and year-end journal entries, and special projects as assigned. In addition, this position may be asked to assist with the annual budget preparation. This position must exercise excellent judgment and perform routine, detailed analytical work with financial accuracy. Work is of above-average difficulty and is reviewed for progress and conformance to established procedures by the Director of Finance and/or their designee.

  “Relatives” (including blood/step/in-law/adopted/legal guardian) are defined as spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, child, uncle, aunt, grandparent, grandchild, or any individual with whom an employee has a close personal relationship, such as a domestic partner, co-habitant, or significant other. The same prohibitions apply to employees who marry, cohabitate, or become related by marriage.  The provisions of this policy are not limited to personal or familial relationships amongst supervisors, managers, and subordinates. The policy also includes personal and/or familial relationships between individuals working as peers in any department when such relationship actually disrupts the operation of the department or the Village.

IMPORTANT
