Finance Director | Village of Round Lake Beach

The Village of Round Lake Beach, population 28,500 is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to serve as its Finance Director. Round Lake Beach has an EAV of $ 405,567,623 and a diversified sales tax base serving as the commercial hub of the Round Lake Communities. It is a full service municipality that benefits from a regional Fire Protection District and a Regional Park District. The Village also enjoys high quality utility services including Lake Michigan Water supplied by the Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency, and  high quality sewage treatment provided by Lake County. These regional providers afford the Village the opportunity to control overall costs through intergovernmental agreements and to provide high quality services.

The Finance Director is a strategic member of the Village Administrator’s  management team. The Director and his staff provide a full range of municipal financial services including financial forecasting, accounting and financial management, preparation of the annual budget, currently at $ 30.7M for FY22, and  active participation in the development and implementation of Village wide financial policies. Round Lake Beach seeks candidates to grow with the community and meet the challenges of new investment occurring within the Village.

A bachelors degree in finance, business, management, or public administration with five years experience in municipal finance  required. A masters degree is preferred. Round Lake Beach offers a competitive compensation of up to $109,500 starting salary and benefits package.
