The Joliet Park District is looking for a seasoned finance professional with outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills to oversee an annual operating budget of 30 million.

The Director of Finance plans, directs, reviews, and manages all financial functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash/investment management, utility billing, general accounting, and payroll outcomes.  Additional Director of Finance responsibilities include implementation and monitoring of risk management policies & procedures and oversees the Information Technology Department.  This positions supervises 5 full-time/part-time staff, serves as Treasurer to the Park Board of Commissioners and reports to the Executive Director.

The pay range is $90,000 - $110,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  A generous benefits package includes medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance,  pension (IMRF) plan, paid time off including vacation, personal, sick and holiday pay, employee assistance program, fitness center membership and discounted facility and program costs.

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Public Administration or related field, Master's degree preferred and CPA highly desirable, and a minimum of 5 years' progressive work experience and supervisory experience.
