Preparing for the Next Step in Your Career
This session will provide valuable knowledge to those who have recently joined the government sector or a new community as well as the seasoned veterans of our organization looking to move into a Finance Director role at their current community or another community. Guest speaker, Heidi Voorhees of GovHR USA will present steps finance professionals can take right now to enhance their career including how to prepare your resume, how to ensure you are on your community's radar for promotion, and what to expect in the interview process.

I want to encourage all IGFOA members to attend the Assistant’s Network its always great to get involvement from the entire membership. The network will target speakers and presenters that offer target themes in the arena of management, leadership, coaching, motivation and other supplemental tools to develop our membership for the future. Please encourage your Assistant Finance Directors, Finance Managers, Accounting Supervisors, Accountants, Management Analysts, and other staff to attend our events.

Registration & Cancellation Policy
Registrations are accepted on a first-in, first registered basis. Payments by check should be mailed in advance or made at time of registration by credit card.
IGFOA Members are those Public Sector and Partner or Associate individuals specifically listed in the IGFOA Membership Application or Renewal. IGFOA Government non-member rate applies to staff, appointed officials, and elected officials of a government with a current IGFOA membership. If you have questions about your membership, contact IGFOA at 630-942-6587. The IGFOA reserves the right to apply the non-member fee to any individual or government that has not paid dues for the current year.
If you are unable to attend, please contact IGFOA at 630-942-6587 or info@igfoa.org as soon as possible. A $10 cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations up to February 17, 2016. Cancellations after February 17, 2016 and no-shows are responsible for the full tuition.
IGFOA reserves the right to modify the agenda, cancel the event due to low enrollment, or to close registration if full. Should IGFOA cancel an event, cancellation notice will be sent to the email address provided by each registrant and prominently posted at the IGFOA website page announcing the event.
