Event Description

The United States Department of Labor has issued final regulations making a simple but significant change to how you may pay your employees. By establishing a new minimum salary for “exempt” status, the DOL may transform many of your current employees from “exempt” to “nonexempt.”  We will review the regulatory changes, and importantly, the implications of those changes on your work force.
· What is the impact on my compensation system and pay scales?
· Will I increase an employee’s salary to meet the new threshold?
· Will I need to convert employees to nonexempt status?
· How do I get formerly exempt employees to change their work habits?

Changes are effective December 1, 2016. Now is the time to plan for this significant development.

Guest Speaker: Samuel J. Castree, Jr., Senior Vice President & General Counsel, Staff Management, Inc.
