Event Description
The Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) has issued a number of pronouncements impacting all units of government in Illinois. This webinar will build on the GAAP update session held in September 2017 at the IGFOA conference in Peoria. The webinar will have a detailed discussion of each pronouncement and provide hands on experience using case studies on how the pronouncements will impact governments in Illinois. In addition, this webinar will update participants on GASB's project agenda and major projects in progress, including an update on the proposed new reporting model for governmental funds
Learning Objectives: Participants completing this session will be able to:
1. Learn about the recent pronouncements issued by GASB;
2. Understand how those pronouncements will impact governments in Illinois;
3. Explore case studies that demonstrate the practical application of GASB pronouncements on IL local governments;
4. Review the status of major projects in progress on GASB’s project agenda; and,
5. Gain knowledge of key decisions made to date by the GASB on those projects.

Registrations are accepted on a first-in, first registered basis. Payments by check should be mailed in advance or made at time of registration by credit card.
IGFOA Members are those Public Sector and Partner or Associate individuals specifically listed in the IGFOA Membership Application or Renewal. IGFOA Government non-member rate applies to staff, appointed officials, and elected officials of a government with a current IGFOA membership. If you have questions about your membership, contact IGFOA at 630-942-6587. The IGFOA reserves the right to apply the non-member fee to any individual or government that has not paid dues for the current year.
If you are unable to attend, please contact IGFOA at 630-942-6587 or info@igfoa.org as soon as possible. A $20 cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations up to March 15, 2018. Cancellations after March 15, 2018 and no-shows are responsible for the full tuition.
