The Public Finance Associate – Continuing Disclosure and Closing Coordinator is responsible for preparing, organizing and creating accurate, detailed financial documentation for municipal debt issues.  This position may also interpret financial data in order to assist in funding public projects. Collaborates with public officials in analyzing the necessary financial reports that are associated with the projects. The position will follow all steps of the municipal bond financing from preliminary information gathering through date of closing and post-issuance continuing disclosure.  

Essential Functions

Consistently demonstrates exceptional internal and external service with clients, along with the core values: Integrity, Performance and Commitment.

Models, mentors, and leads colleagues\teams to develop innovative methods and approaches for efficacy.

Steward of compliance, coordinates with company staff to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations and reports.

Maintains department pending deal calendar as well as tracking revenue.

Works directly with public finance advisors and other staff.

Proofread and edit official statements for accuracy.

Prepare and/or update distribution lists and financing timelines.

Prepare closing letters and other correspondence as necessary.

Execute pre and post-closing paperwork with clients.

Assist clients in publication of legal ads.

Prepare summary of continuing disclosure filing requirements and review filing history for clients.

Administrative duties such as mailing, billing, etc.

Assist with preparation of responses to request for proposals and presentations.

Attend presentations and governmental meetings, as required.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience

Associates degree or two years of education from a four-year college or university; or three years of related job experience or training.

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to three years related experience helpful.

Licenses, Registrations and Certifications

Regulatory Licensures: Series 50 or, if Series 50 is not yet obtained, successful completion of Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE) is preferred.
